Located in the center of the Weyr is a massive bowl, containing a large lake, the herdbeast pens, and a number of work areas for the Weyr's crafters, as well as a large, flat area set aside for Weyrling lessons.

| Lower Caverns
The kitchens, the dining cavern, a myriad of storage rooms, and housing for all of the weyrstaff, to include all weyrfolk, drudges, their families, and the fosterlings living there are located deep in the stone walls of the Weyr.

| Weyrling Barracks
A long hallway, lined down one side with weyrs, serves as housing for the weyr's Weyrlings. There are thirty weyrs along this hallway, of varying size. Each room contains two couches, two rider's beds, and two footlockers for personal possessions, as well as a single shared shelving unit for necessary supplies such as oil. Halfway down the hall, opposite the weyrling rooms, is a large three-room office belonging to the Weyrlingmaster. One end of the hallway ends in a large feeding chamber for the Weyrlings, and the other ends in a comfortable common room.

| Candidate Barracks
A loop cut into the stone with three exits serves as the primary hallway for the candidate barracks. Rooms line either side of the hallway, each containing two bunk-beds, two foot lockers, and two wall lockers, allowing candidates to sleep four to a room in relative comfort. One exit from the barracks emerges into the Weyr Bowl. A secondary exit allows swift passage onto the hatching sands, in order to more easily facilitate candidates reaching the sands during a hatching. The third exit leads to the lower caverns, emerging not far from the kitchens. In the central portion of the loop, there is a large, cavernous room which serves as a common room. The three-room office of the Candidatemaster attaches to both the common room and the main barracks, making it easy for the Candidatemaster to be on hand at all times.

| Lower Caverns
Like Weyrs, Holds have expansive communal kitchens for special events, storage facilities, and any number of other useful locations which are more safely stored underground, in their own lower caverns. Not everywhere in the lower caverns is safe to wander freely, and most of the illicit activities that occur in the Hold occur here.
